Yesterday we told about the fashion trends from 2014 that are still in vogue in 2015. But how about the new trends that have surfaced this year?
Here is the list of the new fashion trends of 2015!
The 50’s style
The 50’s were all about femininity, shapes and unique silhouettes so this is the main inspiration of the designers. They brought back the 50’s with the help of the flared and ruffled skirts, the classic yet classy suit jackets and of course the oversized shoulders. But some of the designers like Adam Lippes, Cushnie et Ochs, Monique Lhuillier or Calla have decided to spice things up by adding new and modern details.
Cubistic and abstract style
You know that minimalism has become a very important style so it’s easy to imagine that we are going to find it in this year’s trends. But not alone! For 2015 minimalism and futurism have combined to create a very interesting and fresh conglomeration of prints and motives. Basically it’s all about the monochrome combinations of stripes, forms, lines and patterns that together create some amazing optical effects. Tess Giberson and Rebeca Minkoff are two of the designers that have embraced the cubistic and abstract approach.
Cool and comfortable pajama style
This trend is one of the most creative trends of the new year. We all love our comfy pajamas and that’s exactly what designers must have thought when creating this style. Marc Jacobs is the one who started this trend and some of the other fellow designers who have adopted this style are Missoni and Max Mara.
But of course it’s not like we are going to go outside wearing our pajama. The main idea is that designers have created pants and tops inspired by the pajamas, using different fabrics and patterns. Would you try this style?
This trend in not really something new, but something that designers are rediscovering and improving every year. This year we see a lot of fresh interpretations of what ethnic means, that can be separated in two main categories. First we talk about something simple, with clear lines and very minimalist when it comes to prints and patterns. The second one more bright and bold and chic.
So what should we have in our wardrobe? Folk inspired tops are a must have, oversized cardigans are not just trendy but also comfy and will keep you warm, suede pants and a pair of adorable winter shorts and a fur coat.

When we think about punk-rock the first thing that comes in mind are rebellion, black, zippers and belts. But you should also know that the punk-rock style represents strong yet still feminine women that have personality and style.
This year designers like Monique Lhuillier, Alexandre Herchcovitch or Charlotte Ronson have upgraded some casual looks making them very modern and fresh with the help of those details that make the punk-rock amazing.
